Echomax Active Radar Target Enhancers respond when receiving a radar pulse by amplifying and re-transmitting the signal back to the radar at the same frequency. All significant vessels should have X band radar. Vessels over 3,000 tonnes will have S band as the primary radar and should have X band as the secondary. Echomax Active RTE are available in X band or in dual X & S band units.
